Horses are so athletic, smart and skilful. When combined with a human being, horse sport becomes so masterful, and these gorgeous animals are in their element.  Polo cross, jumping, racing and rodeos showcase the athleticism of both horse and rider as they combine in a single unit to compete. The connection and trust between rider and horse are so beautiful to capture in a photograph. There are times when I, as the photographer, also have to put trust in the combination – when photographing polo cross you need to stand your ground so that horse and rider can go round you. If you move in the wrong direction then the outcome may not be great!
