It is always an honour to be asked to take someone’s portrait. Each person is unique and special in their own way and my role as the photographer is to capture their essence and individuality.  I like to interact with my subject, to get a feel for their personality and to gain a connection with them (being an introvert this is not always easy!).  For me the final image needs to tell the person’s story and has to have a connection with the viewer, especially through the eyes of the subject.
